Success of 8Foundry’s First Business Mission in Taiwan — Developing Global Technology Partnerships
Despite a short operational period of only six months, 8Foundry, together with partners from the 8Foundry Alliance Cluster, organized and successfully completed its first business mission to Taiwan. Over five intensive days, the 8Foundry team held numerous meetings with key companies and institutions that enabled achieving the mission’s planned objectives.
During the visit, discussions were held with market leaders such as AUO, Chunghwa Telecom, and ITRI, as well as meetings with city and port authorities in Kaohsiung. The team also attended the TAITRONICS & AIoT Taiwan 2025 trade fairs, where they familiarized themselves with the latest global trends in Industry 4.0, the Internet of Things, and smart cities.
A pivotal part of the mission was a meeting with the Director General of the Small and Medium Enterprise and Startup Administration (SMESA), which opened significant cooperation opportunities and facilitated contact with a wide network of institutions and technology partners in Taiwan.
The mission culminated in the Taiwan-Poland Smart City Forum & B2B Matchmaking Event co-organized by the 8Foundry Alliance. The company was represented by Piotr Mierzwiński and Rafał Magryś, the Cluster Council Chairman, emphasizing the key role of digital transformation and transcontinental cooperation.
More than 50 B2B meetings were conducted with leading Taiwanese companies and institutions such as Startup Terrace, Pegatron, and ITRI, resulting in new initiatives in ICT, industrial automation, and sustainable urban development.
The growth of this cooperation network creates further business opportunities and new projects planned for implementation in the coming months. This mission also initiated opening doors to other Asian markets, which 8Foundry now plans to systematically explore.
For the dynamically developing 8Foundry, this is an important step demonstrating readiness to effectively execute global projects, create valuable partnerships, and support client growth in demanding markets.
